REC's Rebate
The Solar Credits Scheme is run by the ORER (Office of the Renewable Energy Regulator) and aims to encourage Australians to invest in renewable energy installations by offering solar credits in the form of REC's (Renewable Energy Certificates). These credits are similar to shares and can be bought and sold.
At Driftwind Electrical, we give our customers a point-of-sale discount in exchange for the REC's to save them the hassle of selling them at a later date.
REC’s or STC’s as otherwise known for Domestic Solar is under Govt legislation being phased out by approx. 7% per annum until 2030.
